Public Access Test ®
Companion Training offers the official Public Access Test® that prepares your Service Dog for active duty out in public.
The Public Access Test ® is a three level testing system that requires proficiency from the dog and their handler out in public. This testing system helps ensure that you have taken the proper steps in developing the impeccable social etiquette that is required of Service Dogs.
- All dogs participating in the Public Access Test® are required to meet the Federal American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA) Service Animal criteria.
- Annual re-certification is required of each Service Dog team, proudly demonstrating the commitment to maintaining excellence.
- Each team must also successfully complete both Level 1 & Level 2 of the Public Access Test ®.
- The Public Access Test ® can be attempted twice within a 12 month period.
- Your Service Dog’s online registration will show “current” status of Testing & Certification
